A new fully automated saw for cutting composite panels.
Design, build and install a new circular saw for cutting rock wall filled composite panels, in replace of their existing line which relied on extensive manual handling.
The whole system was fully interlocked in a stand-alone, purpose-built housing to ensure no unauthorised access during production.
This also reduced manual handling to zero, with minimal pre-production preparation from one operator.
The new system was fully integrated with Isoclad's previous production line, which ran at around 1.8 metres per minute, at a start stop space, to a new system which runs at 3.8 metres per minute, at a continuous rate - over a 200% increase in output.
This system catered to a maximum panel specification of 1200mm width.
