ABOUT US

FOUNDED in 1990, M&J began installing and repairing conveyor belts from their first location in Cwm, Ebbw Vale. As the company grew, they ventured into the manufacturing of new conveyors and offering general engineering services, eventually outgrowing their factory and relocating to Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate, to accommodate their expanding operations.

From this new location, M&J continued to grow, progressively broadening their service list from general fabrication and automation, to site maintenance and breakdown assistance - while still focusing on conveyor systems, their original engineering specialty.

In 1999, the family-owned business made its third move, relocating to a larger facility in Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate, where it's headquarters remain today.

Over 33 years since establishing, M&J remains a family run firm, under the leadership of Michael and Christopher Garland, and with their combined expertise and commitment, they continue to steer the company towards excellence.

OUR FUTURE

2023 stands as a pivotal year for us at M&J, marked by a momentous seven-figure investment that has transformed the company on multiple fronts:

- We developed three additional factory units, providing increased capacity and capabilities to meet the growing demands of our work and valued customers.

- We positioned ourselves at the forefront of technological advancements, with our investments in new state-of-the-art machinery: CMS Proline 2040 Waterjet Cutter, CNC Vertical 5-Axis Miller and CNC Lathe's. Plus, our Creaform HandySCAN 3D Scanner, aiding all machinery work.

- We embraced sustainability and took a bold step towards a greener future by replacing our outdated conventional gas heating system with a biomass boiler, bringing renewable heating and hot water to our factory units, all while reducing our carbon footprint.

Beyond our internal transformations, our striking rebrand has left an indelible mark on the community. Embracing this fresh identity and vibrant new colour scheme, our signage, fleet, and online presence have been rejuvenated, reflecting out innovative approach, and allowing audiences a behind-the-scene view of M&J.
